MOSTAGHIM designed this new residence within a heritage precinct, creating a home that is both timeless and deeply connected to its established streetscape. Inspired by classical architecture, the design adopts its rhythm and proportion while stripping away ornamentation, resulting in a refined contemporary expression at a much finer scale.

 

The interiors balance modernity with longevity, featuring a material palette of stone, timber, bronze, and leather-chosen for their ability to age gracefully. Classical proportions continue inside, with double‑height volumes in the office and dining room bringing a sense of generosity and calm.

Every habitable space is oriented to the north, ensuring abundant natural light and a strong connection to the landscape. The result is a residence that feels enduring, elegant, and perfectly attuned to its heritage context.
