MOSTAGHIM was engaged to create a more premium room offering for this landmark hotel directly opposite Sydney’s international terminal. The design draws inspiration from the natural beauty of New South Wales, using warm tones, soft greens, and ochres to establish a calming, grounded atmosphere-an intentional contrast to the airport environment outside.

Although the rooms share the same standard size as the hotel’s existing offering, thoughtful spatial planning creates a noticeably more generous experience. A large seating area, strategic use of mirrors, and a semi‑open robe enhance the sense of openness and comfort.

Subtle references to Sydney’s icons enrich the interiors: custom artwork designed by MOSTAGHIM abstracts the rivet patterns of the Harbour Bridge, while the carpet design echoes the distinctive tiles of the Opera House sails. The result is a refined, place‑specific executive room that balances sophistication with a warm, natural character.
