Rydges Port Adelaide

Event Hospitality tasked MOSTAGHIM with reviewing and refining the planning of Rydges Port Adelaide, addressing inefficiencies in the original layout. The initial design scattered back-of-house (BOH) spaces across the floor plan, leading to disruptive overlaps with front-of-house (FOH) operations and awkward interactions for guests and staff.

For example, guests needed to navigate through bar seating to reach function rooms, and the lobby sat on a different level from the bar, limiting patronage. MOSTAGHIM's revised layout introduced a service spine that seamlessly connects all BOH areas both vertically and horizontally. FOH spaces were restructured for an intuitive flow, ensuring a natural progression between the lobby, bar, and restaurant, with a dedicated entrance for function spaces.

The interior design takes inspiration from the surrounding heritage warehouses and piers, layering industrial character into a refined hospitality experience.
